Research On Human And Animal Studies

The Journal's policy mandates that writers of research publications whose work uses human subjects adhere to a set of rules. The recommendations follow the 1978 Helsinki Declaration. The research on human subjects should have received approval from the author's institutional board or any other pertinent body, and the name of this board must be recognised along with the approval number and date.

Similarly the manuscript should contain a statement that makes the following declaration:

"All procedures followed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible committee on human experimentation (institutional and national) and with the Helsinki Declaration of 1975, as revised in 2008."

"Informed consent was obtained from all patients for being included in the study."

Animals Studies and Ethical Treatment

The National Research Council has policies regarding the handling and application of lab animals. Any study conducted on these animals should adhere to the restrictions set forth in these regulations. The manuscript should explicitly state all information pertaining to the use of these animals for experiments and other related studies. The author must obtain formal approval from the institutional ethical committee (for an animal or human study) and provide it to the journal upon request.

Approval from institutional ethical committee (for animal/human study) must be taken by the author in written and should be submitted to the journal if requested. The manuscript should have a similar statement in the methods/experimental section that

"All institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed."

"All animal studies were done after receiving approval from Institutional Ethical committee approval with approval number …..."

"Kindly mention the approval number with date."
